The program was established in 1983 to provide reliable and objective information about the plants, species, and habitats native to Montana and is a program of the Montana State Library. The MNHP staff include zoologists, ecologists, and botanists who are passionate about studying the natural wonders of our state and sharing the knowledge they have with all Montanans. The State Library is pleased to have this group of experts in our organization and to provide the information they collect with the public.
